Hello everyone, after 3 days in Playa I am getting ready to move on to my last point of Mexico, Isla Mujeres. Since so many people are finshing their trip there, though, we are expecting the place to be FILLED with israelis and so on. It should be humours I guess.
Not much other news to be told, really. I am slowly yet surely getting a tan, between all the rain that drops on us. Cant wait till I get home, and thats about it.
Hope everything is alright at home
ciao

So after 4 days of almost constant rain, being wet and cold I am leaving San Cristobal to the benefit of the hot, humid sunny yet utterly expensive carribean beaches of Meixco! I am mixed about going, since in one regard - hurrah, some sun and an oppertunity to get better from the cold that had attacked me here, but on the other sense … 17 hours by bus. Not fun.
I have realised that in exactly two weeks I am going to be home! Hurrah, you may now begin the preperations for the grand celebration (you know im joking. although, yoav you should start tidying up my room which you have by no doubt made into a complete mess.)
I have uploaded more pictures, from mexico.

Hello everyone! Yay, exciting stuff, for I am writing the first email from a new country -mexico! I have been for two days, which werent the best, I will have to admit. The border crossing was a really bad event, which was a real shame, since it just ruined our last impression from Guatamlla, which most of the time was really awesome, and just on our last day there turned yuckie. In short, will just say that we manged to get a really good deal on tickets to a city in mexico, where we wanted to get, this obviously includes the border crossing. Happy and content we woke up at 4 AM, in order to be ready for the bus that was to pick us up. For real, it was 50 minutes late, and then it turned out that it wasnt our bus. Where was our bus? Unclear. It seemed as if we fell for a scumbag, who took our money with no real transport. To cut a long story short, the guy finally arrived two hours later, and bribed the other driver so we could go with them. Since we were suppoused to change 2 busses afterwards we were pretty sure we were going to get screwed, but eveantually everything worked out. More crap happened on the way, and it wasnt fun at all, but we were 7 israelis and we survived.
I am abit tired though, after 2 days of traveling, I will just say thatI am in San Cristobal, which is in the Chiapas reigon of Mexico, I will be here for 4 days or so, and then I will put myself through hell and go on a bus for 17 long hours, to the beaches of Yukaton, mexico.
hope everyone are alright, im going to eat soup, get a shower and go to sleep.
I have also added more photos, they are here (its with the old pictures, just go on browsing(

So, Livingstone. We arrived to livingstone after 3 or so days in Lanquin, a small tiny hell hole which is infamous solely for the reason that its two cms away from the Samock Champie waterfalls and caves. We spent a whole day there, went through caves with candles to light our way, jumped off bridges and trees and then climbed like donkeys on a hill just to see a spectuilar view of the waterfalls. They were so amazing. I´ll upload pictres as soon as possible. We then spent another day lounging around doing absloutly nothing but playing cards and eating. We stayed in this ecological ranch, with unflushing toiliets, but amazing scenery. We were a huge group of israelis there which made it somewhat amusing.
From there we took a direct shuttle to Rio Dulce, and from there a boat to Livingstone, where were at now. Livingstone is a small half island which is special due to it s uniuqe community - they are the children of pirates and latin americans and all sorts of other nations. This creates a very coluorful and nice community. You see a rastafariean next to a guatamlian and next to a latin american dude. Its just funny.
We´re moving on tomorrow, perhaps to some ranch on the way to Tikal, where there are amazing mayan ruins. We will probably stay there for a couple of days, and then move on to Tikal, our last stop in Guatamlla. Hopefully around the 12th of October I shall be moving on to Mexico, for a quick two weeks. My flight to NY is scheduled on the 26th of October.
Hope everyone are well,
miss you all, and im soon to be home!!!!!

So, today we woke up really really early. 5 thirty in the morning early, only to find out that my friends clock was set to Mexico time . So we went back to sleep andwoke up an hour later, finished packing our bags. A shuttle has came to pick us up on our way to the market of chichi. We met 4 israelis on the shuttle and had a nice long chat with them, about our plans and their plans and so on. The market was quite big, and we had a lot of fun, I even haggled with them, and got quite good prices. Then we took another shuttle to Pana, which is a nice small village that sits on the Titlan Lake. We only had dinner there and took the boat to San Pedro which is where we are staying now. Only thing is, we didnt know the boat is OPEN, and we got completly bloody soaked! We were so wet and poor and tired that we had allowed some guy to show us to a hostel which is pretty much like a prison cell. There are much better places here but we´re too tired tonight to do anything about it, we´ll change rooms tomorrow.
As soon as we went out my friend met some friends frmo back home and thats what introduced us to the huge extent of israeli control in this place. its insane. I´m not that fond of it really, you just hear hebrew all over the place. We´re going to stay here for a couple of days and then move on to a nearby village, i think, anyway.
I really dont know what I´ll be doing after the middle of october, I am going to Cancun anyway, to get a flight to NY from there, the only real question is when, and whether or not I´ll do any stops on the way. Atm, I really just want to come home. But then again, It´d be silly to miss out on all of these things when they´re right next to me….. We´ll see.
Ciao for now,

Hello everyone
ITomorrow we are leaving antigua and heading out first to a near market, called Chichi, which is suppoused to be the biggest market in Central America, and then moving on to Lake Tittlan, where we´re going to stay about a week, in various villages. I´m not sure how good the internet access is there, so do not be surprised if you do not hear from me!
After these villages we are going to carry on and travel towards the north and abit to the east, and our last stop togther will be in Tikal, which has Mayan ruines, which are meant to be quite amazing. From there my friend is probably going to head back to Guatamlla City and take a flight to the states, while I take a bus to Cancun, and stay there for a week and abit, on the beaches and all that, and then head back to New York towards the 24th, maybe abit earlier.
Yesterday we went to an active volcano. We climed up about 3kms, in a rather steep hill, which made us all gasp for air and feel our mussles our more correct to say we all felt how out of shape we are! Right behind us were locals with horses that offered the poor out of shape western climbers a taxi (on the horse!!) We refused, and climbed all the way up! It wasnt easy but the view was really awesome, and it was so extremely hot! You could actually feel heat oozing from what you´d think to be cold rocks! Really cool.
Today we just woke up late and went around the city. We´re leaving first thing tomorrow morning, so another yuckie morning! Yuch. Hope everything is alright back home,
talk to you when I can!

Hello everyone! I am writing again, as promised. I am still in Antigua, and feeling alot nicer than at the begining. I met my friend a few evenings ago and at the same time I found out there are plenty of folks my from summer camp right here in Antigua, i´ve met them all one after the other and after my friend arrived we all sat togther in a pub, it was very nice.
the following morning we starrted a few spanish classes, we had 4 hours that day and another 4 hours today. It has really reminded me of things I had forgotten although knew all along since my spanish course I took before the army.In an hour we are going on a tour of a local active volcano, its an 5 hour tour and its suppoused to be really amazing, with actual lava!
Tomorrow we are taking a bit of a rest, and on thursday we are going to the biggest market in centeral america, called chi chi. On friday we are moving on to a nearby lake, called La Tittlan, or something like that!
Most of our trip is planned in general outlines, mostly thanks to my friend who is extrmeley organised, this girl knows what shes doing! We are going to pretty much part ways around the middle of October, after which I havent decided what i´ll do next. I´ll either move up to Mexico and go back to NY from Cancun or go back down to Antigua, maybe volunteer or take some more spanish classes…. We shall see!
Hope everyoe is alright, both in LA and back home!
love you all, and you can still email me sometimes, you know!
